The Lioness - Kat

She runs to battle at my side,

she shows no fear, does not hide.

my lioness beside me at war as always,

we’ve spent so many days fighting together.

She has been in my battles it seems like forever.

Sometimes it’s seemed like we’ve grown apart,

but the beat of her heart beats together with mine,

the war drums are beating so we know the sign.

I’ll go running back to her and wait for her to catch me falling,

then there will be no stalling as she runs to defend me

and destroy who seek to end me.

The heroine has love for me that is genuine,

although we’ve caused each other distress before,

my beautiful lioness will roar revenge to my foes.

Then with all her anger to avenge me she goes.

So loyal to the last of all the fights,

She’s there to stand up for my rights.

Lioness makes me laugh, lioness makes me cry,

lioness never even questions why,

if someone’s hurt me she does not desert me.

So now I ride into the wretches of war,

lioness is beside me,

just as always and before
